We had the pleasure of dining at this establishment about three weeks ago when we were in Lake Placid. The location was wonderful! Just a short steep, walk up the hill from where we were staying at Mirror Lake Inn. We had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who was extremely warm, obviously very talented, and shared with us that he had gone to the culinary school in New Orleans, which was a big plus for us! It’s subtly evident in some of the menu items as well. The setting and service were over the top! The popcorn that they provided in lieu of bread and butter was whimsical, fun, delicious, and seemed a lot more healthy than typical bread and butter. My husband had the Ragu with pasta and shaved brussels sprouts with bacon, and he was absolutely delighted with it. I had the blue fish, which, I’ve never had before but now the bar is extremely high if I ever try to have it again. It was served on a bed of butternut squash risotto, and I also had the mixed sauteed mushrooms. All of them were extremely delicious. We splurged, and had the chocolate tart for dessert which was absolutely to die for to the point that as we were leaving, we strongly recommended to the table of guests behind us. If we didn’t live so far away, I’m sure we would make this a weekly or semi monthly visit. But definitely next time we are in Lake Placid, we will go there. And you’d be wise to do the same.

The restaurant is fantastic. The setting is very pleasant and cozy. Couldn't have been more happy with choosing the interlaken inn for dinner. Service and staff are very friendly and attentive. Bread and butter is out of this world.

This lovely old world Inn is run by a delightful young couple. Justin is an amazing chef and his food is truly world class. We had a week long ski vacation and everything was perfect! The lovely fire in the living room in the evening, delicious dinners in the elegant dining room.

Had an amazing meal. Service was excellent and the food & cocktails were fabulous. The Inn is beautiful with classic cozy Adirondack ambience. Highly recommend!

Reviewing for the restaurant, we did not stay at the inn. Incredible experience, and a great way to end our weekend upstate. The place is a bit tucked away, but that added to the charm. First of all the servers were delightful and lovely and welcoming. After dinner they gave us a little tour of some of the inn, which is a marvelous place by the way. Onto the food itself - dinner was perfect. All six of my party loved each of our dish. Plating was amazing, flavors were amazing, portions were amazing. The food was a level of amazing that I didn’t expect at all. I personally got the chicken, which was perfectly crisp and rich in flavor. Our desserts were also so heavenly. I’ll definitely be coming back if I’m ever back in the area.

The dinner was delicious, service was attentive and friendly. Nice atmosphere, very relaxing. Will definitely comeback when in Lake Placid.

We dined at the restaurant on a Sunday night and it was just stellar. The place feels classic and old school and completely chill and cool and relaxed, while providing an amazing upscale dining experience. Will definitely go back on our next visit. Our dinner couldn’t have been better the new Chef Justin hit it out of the park. We had the Crawfish Croquettes, and the amazing Chicken Liver Mousse with an incredible red wine aspic. The short rib and the pork jagerschnitzel was so good. The pork was so tender and more like veal! Can’t wait to go back!
